Hello Everyone!
My name is Brian Alejandro and this is my blog about Montecristo Cuban cigars. I had my first cigar back in Cuba with my dad Ricardo Alejandro at the age of 14. Yes being of Cuban ancestory, it is considered normal to have your first cigar at that age or even younger.
My dad was a very big fan of the Montecristo Cuban cigars, his favorite was Montecristo No 2s. My self on the other hand, I love the entire brand. Their is so much history and flavors behind the Montecristo brand that it is only fitting to have a whole blog dedicated just for them.
Shortly after my first cigar, I was fortunate enough to move to Toronto, Canada. It’s nice to be in a place where Cuban cigars are legal
Anyways, I can go on and on about my life story but let’s stick to the subject and that is Montecristo Cuban cigars. My goal is to share my passion for the Montecristo Cuban cigars with people just like you. You don’t have to be a cigar aficionado to appreciate this blog – newbies are welcome too.
So let’s get started shall we!

hi
i’m hamzeh from syrian arab republic.
i want to ask if is there an agency for you’r cigar in syria.
best regard
I have looked around the ‘net and can’t locate a Cuban cigar store in Syria….. One that you should look into is the duty free store at the airport in Beirut. I believe that it is one of the best stocked Cuban cigar stores in your area. It gets very high ratings and has some very affordable and very rare limited editions. Good luck!
Hi there! I was just admiring the nice photos of different MCs.
Today I received a box with MC 4. One of my favorites. But I noticed some differences with the box and the cigar band. First the flat cedar that lies between the two layers were not dark but light wood and did not seem to be cedar at all?! The second thing, the band around the cigar was much darker than before and the fleur-de-lis and the ring had a relief print. Is this standard now? Did they change? Let me know if you heard or seen anything about this. Thank You!
Sincerely
/Martin

+1
Saying that the thin sheet of wood does NOT look like cedar seems a bit suspect… The bands are darker these days and I wouldn’t worrytoo much about that… I think your bands are OK…. Do you have a factory and date stamped on the bottom of the box??
I liked your website. I don’t smoke cuban cigars, but your website is great!
Thanks
Howdy!
I’m new to cigars but I enjoy them quite a bit.
My favorite is the edmundo. It has a nice great flavor and rich aroma.
I’m also from Toronto. If you can recommend me a good cigar store please email me back.
I just wanted to say the website is great and Montecristo #3′s are pure heaven!
Hey Brian,
I am from Europe, Greece and newbie in MC’s. Even though i have little experience i can say that No 5 is one of my favorites!
You have a wonderful blog and keep up the good work!
Thanks George. The No 5 is a lovely perla and doesn’t take a lot of your time. The No 2 may be one of my all time cigars though and worth every minute it takes. I’ve been to Greece and have to say I really liked your smoking laws. I could smoke almost anywhere. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Happy new year to you Brian and to all of our friends here!
Well as soon as i taste the No 2 i would be glad to share my thoughts.
Regarding to the smoking laws in Greece you can say that we didn’t had any laws! We are now in the process of applying a smoking law but in Greece it takes time!!
Anyway you are welcome to visit Greece again and thanx for your reply.
Just wanted to say I very much enjoyed your blog today. I was pleased to see your discussion of the Diplomat as an valid occasional alternative to the Monte Cristo. I’m an American, but as I presently live in El Pais Vasco, I get to enjoy Cuban cigars. Overall your posts are well written and informative, and your blog color scheme combined with the sylish cigar shots is beautiful and well done.
Hey Byron, thanks for the kind words…… I have another Diplomaticos No 2 sitting in my humidor and each day I look at it and say to myself, ” One more Day”…. Its rather difficult to hang on to such a great cigar without lighting it, knowing full well that every day it gets better………
