Montecisto cigars VS Cigarettes

I used to smoke both but in recent years I found that cigars simply taste so much better than cigarettes but millions of cigarette smokers have a million and one reasons why cigars just don’t make it for them. They’ll tell you that for one, the smell of cigars tend to repulse them and that cigarettes smell so much better. If you’ve read this so far you’ll agree that these people somehow just don’t get it. I’ll agree that the smell of an Edmundo or anything from the Monte line is considerably more pungent and identifiable, as a cigar smell, but have these people TASTED a Monte??? Probably not!! I have smoked both for years but lately I’ve been able to kick the cigarette habit quite easily by waiting a bit in the morning before smoking anything and then lighting up a small cigar after breakfast.
I used to be one of those “smoke 8 cigarettes before breakfast” kind of guys and through the years, not only have I spent a lot of $$$$$$ on cigarettes, but once I fell in love with the taste of cigars I felt that there was no turning back. Cigarettes are machine made making them a bit impersonal and cold compared to the handmade works of art that come out of Havana with the Montecristo band wrapped around each one.
I quit smoking cigarettes 3 years ago and am happy I did. Even when I smoked cigarettes, when I was smoking cigars I never wanted a cigarette and even hated the aroma of them! Now that I only smoke cigars, I don’t have the adiction, the need to smoke, but the desire. Some ex-smokers won’t have a cigar because they think it will lead them right back to cigarettes. I guess I am fortunate that I am able to continue to enjoy cigars without the urge to go back to the addiction of cigarettes.
I used to smoke both but would be amazed at how bad cigarettes tasted after enjoying a cigar. Funny thing is that I thought cigarettes tasted fine, especially in the morning with coffee…….. Then at some point in the day I’d have a cigar and the next cigarette I’d have would disgust me…… Cigare ARE far superior!!!

I was never able to get into cigarettes…I find the taste just foul. Cigars, on the other hand, provide an enjoyment that has far more to do with appreciating the finer things rather than getting a nicotine kick.
Cigarettes area ALL about the nicotine kick… Shame about the taste… I have to agree that cigars can be so enjoyable and give me such a satisfying feeling that I’m convinced that smoking them has GOT to be good for your peace of mind !!
