Open Discussion About The Eagle

I’m a firm believer that for every Montecristo cigar there is a Montecristo devotee. The Open Eagle, pictured above on the box it WASN’T sold in, is 5 7/8 inches long and a 54 ring gauge. This is the biggest of the Open series that came out last year and a lot of controversy has been surrounding these new members of the Monte family… This series is targeted at new smokers who may be a bit apprehensive about tackling Cuban tobacco that is known for it’s power and full flavors. This is a great, milder cigar that is very easy to get along with in casual surroundings with close friends on a deck at a golf course on a hot day… My personal favorite from the open series is the Regata with it’s sweet tobacco flavor and fruity notes.. My feelings are that if you are new to cigars and are curious about trying something with a larger ring gauge then the Open Eagle would be a safe bet!!!
